"Coffee x Fashion"
Had so much fun with my blogger babes Visala from V for Visala

I
had the pleasure to be part of “Hong
Kong In Fashion” – a very exciting fashion
month with fashion shows, different types of workshops, as well as
street style competition - held by Hong
Kong Trade Development Council this year =)
The very first event I have attended
was the “Coffee x Fashion” Tote bag DIY workshop. Being held at
the Pacific Coffee Emporium in Causeway Bay – one of the coolest
coffee shops in Hong Kong I reckon – and having renowned Hong Kong
designers Henry Lau and Hindy Ng to share their version of DIY tote
bags. It was definitely a fun and enjoyable event!
I am not exactly good at DIY-ing so I
was a little clueless when they were distributing the DIY pack but
thank god Pancino Wan, the lecturer from Hong Kong Design Institute,
was also there to share some DIY tips with everyone so I could at
least finish my tote with his tips and it didn’t turn out looking
too…ugly =P It is particularly noteworthy that all tote bags were
sponsored by OOOBJECT – an environmental friendly brand whose tote
bags are made out of milk fabric from expired, germ infected, or
oversupplied milk, which were supposed to be chucked out, how caring
to the environment is that!
And of course, “Hong Kong In Fashion”
is not only about the above event! From 13-16th January
2014, it’ll be the official start of “Hong
Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter”,
highlights include “Garment Mart” and “World of Fashion
Accessories” featuring basic mass merchandise, “Fashion Gallery”
featuring high fashion and brand labels, "Emporium de Mode"
- a unique premium section dedicated to present stylish and
distinctive garments in an elegant setting, and many more. “HKTDC
World Boutique”, Hong Kong 2014 will also be
held concurrently and to me, this is the most exciting part of “Hong
Kong In Fashion” as you’ll get to see Fashion shows as well as to
attend Fashion Market & Topical Seminars , which are dedicated to
promoting designers’ collection and brand labels from all over the
world.
